Orientation session by HAS (Humane Animal Society)

Yuvabharathi Nursery students had the opportunity to participate in an awareness session conducted by HAS (Humane Animal Society) on the 22nd of August 2025 in connection with the International Dog Day observed every year on the 26th of August. This day encourages adoption, supports shelters, and raises awareness about the care for the stray dogs. A Team from HAS shed light on anti-rabies drives, rescue and rehabilitation, and the beautiful journey of adoption through inspiring visuals, stories of resilience, and the presence of three special pets — survivors of road accidents and a visually impaired one. In the next session, Dr. T. Uganya, Chief Veterinarian at UKAM Pet Clinic, briefed the kids on a veterinarian's kit, safe foods for dogs, and the importance of rabies vaccination. This eye-opening session helped the children learn how we can transform the lives of stray animals.
