Fun with Fireless Cooking

Kitchen as Classroom creates a great platform for multisensory experiential learning. Cooking engages children on an instinctive level; the aromas, sounds, sights, textures, and flavours stimulate their senses and intellect.

A sizzling day of flavour-packed fun unfolded at our ‘Parent-n-Child Fireless Cooking Event’, held on the 6th of January, 2024. Parents embarked on a culinary adventure with their little chefs in tow, donned aprons and customised chef hats. Exploring the magic of creating scrumptious dishes without any heat, their counters became their canvas as they bonded over crafty sandwiches, drool-worthy desserts and exotic salads. The novel gastronomic delights underwent evaluation based on taste, affordability, nutritional value, etc. The judges for the event were Mr. Jonathan, Mr. Prasad (Department of Catering Science & Hotel Management, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science), Ms. Nakhat Asif (Proprietor, Bakester Tales) and Ms. Sumitra (Chocolatier).

The event gave our kids an exceptional social learning experience. They bonded with their parents and learned that cooking is an essential part of building a home and family.
