Ethnic day 2023 – Aadiperukku

Aadiperukku, the South Indian Monsoon Festival, pays tribute to water’s life-sustaining properties. Heralding the onset of the Monsoon, Aadiperukku, also known as Pathinettam perukku, is celebrated near the water bodies. People offer prayers to seek divine blessings for an abundant water supply that would ultimately result in a bountiful harvest. To commemorate the occasion of Aadi Perukku, our tiny tots celebrated Ethnic Day on the 3rd of August, 2023. Dressed in their traditional best, they garnered a wealth of information about the significance of the day.
